On May 4, Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area held the intensive signing and cashing ceremony of investment promotion projects in the first half of 2023. 36 projects were signed, including Huanyu Intelligent Technology Park, with a total investment of around 2.4 billion yuan. At the ceremony, Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area also cashed about 11.412 million yuan of industrial support incentives to create a sound business environment actively.

Yang Dongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

Yang said that since this year, Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area has helped market entities solve actual problems and difficulties that occurred in the development and promoted economic growth so as to get off to a good start. With the joint efforts from the leadership team and people in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area is undergoing positive changes and taking on a new look. In the first quarter of 2023, the GDP of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area reached 26.93 billion yuan, up 7.3% year-on-year. The fixed-asset investment went up 2.5% to 14.27 billion yuan, while the industrial investment saw a 65.7% increase to 6.59 billion yuan year on year. The added value of industrial enterprises rose by 6.2%, and general public budget income was 2.32 billion yuan, an increase of 1.3% year on year.

Yang noted that Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area is a fertile land for investment and entrepreneurship with enormous potential. It is hoped that entrepreneurs continue to support the development of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, leverage their resource advantages, and introduce more leading companies to settle and develop in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area for a better future. All levels in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area will serve enterprises well with more targeted policies to bolster the company's development, more effective measures to strengthen the guarantee of essential elements, and more considerate services to address the difficulties of enterprises so as to take practical actions to be the "Vanguard" among the construction of "Six Pioneers" in Kunming and contribute to Yunnan's high-quality development.
