On July 24th, Duan Hongbo, member of the CPC Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Dian Zhong New Area, led a team to inspect and supervise the work on hidden danger points for flood prevention and disaster mitigation in the New Area. A field meeting was also held, conveying the requirements of relevant provincial and municipal meetings and arranging the next steps.

The meeting mandated that all levels within the Dian Zhong New Area should thoroughly study and implement of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Xi Jinping important instructions on flood control and disaster relief, firmly establish the principle of "putting the people and their lives first", maintain a high level of vigilance, closely monitor key areas and potential hazard points, and implement targeted treatments based on the "one point, one policy" approach. Furthermore, it was emphasized that efforts must be intensified to identify and rectify potential risks, and that all necessary measures for water resistance and flood prevention should be implemented in advance. The meeting also stressed the importance of strengthening preventative coordination and linkage, implementing the "1262" mechanism, ensuring the accountability of all parties, strengthening duty shifts and emergency drills, and continuously improving emergency response capabilities.
