On June 24, the founding ceremony of the Federation of Industry and Commerce of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area and its first members’ congress was successfully held. During the sessions, including the General Assembly and Executive Committee meetings, the first elected members of the Federation’s Executive Committee, as well as the chairman and vice-chairmen, were announced.

Bao Xu and Duan Hongbo, the numbers of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Directors of Administrative Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area; Li Fugui, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Kunming Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the event to offer congratulations and to present plaques to the Federation and its chairman and vice-chairman units.

Bao Xu emphasized that the establishment of the Federation of Industry and Commerce marks a significant event in the non-public economy sector of the New Area and an important milestone in its high-quality economic development. At this new starting point, he expressed the hope that the Federation would serve as a “navigator,” take on its mission responsibly, and effectively play its role as a bridge, a link, and a “government-enterprise communication platform.” He encouraged active service and guidance for entrepreneurs to enhance the core competitiveness of the non-public economy, and to proactively contribute in areas such as industrial upgrading, technological innovation, and green development. This effort aims to help build a “high-precision and cutting-edge” industrial cluster and establish a modern economic system in the Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area. All levels of government departments are urged to support and assist the Federation’s work, jointly writing a new chapter of “government-enterprise harmony and shared development” to promote high-quality growth in the New Area.
