From March 15 to 17, Yang Dongwei, the deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee and the deputy director of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area led a team to Beijing for investment attraction.

Yang Dongwei went to the National Railway Administration (NRA), CRRC Corporation Limited, China Academy of Transportation Science, Apollo Intelligent Connectivity (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., and so on. He held meetings with heads of these enterprises, and they exchanged views on transportation infrastructure construction and intelligent transportation construction of Dian Zhong Science Town.

Yang said that currently Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area is seizing a new round of opportunities for national technological development. Focusing on scientific research, technology development, the transformation of achievements, inspection and testing, personnel training, and economic and trade exchanges, Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area will adhere to high-starting planning and high-standard construction to build Dian Zhong Science Town characterized by transportation technology into a modern science new town with integrated development of industry, education, research, business, and housing while gradually improving the functions of urban services, technological services, and industrial services. It is hoped that all enterprises will set up major projects, R&D centers, inspection institutions, industrial parks, and regional operational centers in Dian Zhong Science Town. On the strength of resources, technology, and talents, enterprises could take part in the planning and construction of an integrated transportation system, the intelligent transportation system of Dian Zhong Science Town, and the construction of the industry-university-research system of transportation science of Dian Zhong Science Town in order to build Dian Zhong Science Town as the "high-tech" source center in the province, the transformation center of "scientific research achievement" in the city and demonstration center of "low-carbon industrial city" in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area.

Relative people in charge of the enterprises said that it is time to seize the opportunity of the rapid advancement of the national "dual carbon" strategy. Yunnan has abundant green energy resources, a good industrial foundation of electric equipment, and location advantages over South and Southeast Asia. Given Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area to plan and build an equipment industrial park, jointly build an international transportation Big Data center to South Asia and Southeast Asia, and serve the transportation construction of "the Belt and Road" initiative, enterprises will participate in the intelligent transportation planning and application scenario construction of Dian Zhong Science Town so as to create a model of national intelligent transportation parks.

Yang also visited Beijing Electronic Zone High-Tech Group Co., Ltd., Qihoo 360 Technology Co. Ltd., China Invest New Century Group Limited and invited related companies to invest in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area to speed up the construction of projects, empower the industrial incubation and digital economy, and spur the development of key projects such as electronic information and biomedicine. Meanwhile, the team had an in-depth conversation with Beijing Health Guard Biotechnology INC. to accelerate advancing recombinant vaccine clinical trials and project construction of an industrialization base.
