On Jan.4, in accordance with the related work plan of the CPC Kunming Municipal Committee, Kunming Municipal People's Government, Zhao Xuefeng, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and the Deputy Director of Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, led a team to Songming County to conduct the supervision of its economic operation. The team learned more about the economic operation of Songming last year, analyzed the strength and weak links of its industrial development, carried out practical plans for this year's economic development, and pushed forward Songming to find the breakthrough of economic growth so as to smooth the way for high-quality development.

During the supervision meeting, Wu Chunlu, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, the Deputy Head, and the acting Deputy Head of Songming County, made a report on the economic operation of Songming County in 2022. Zhao stressed that Songming County should promote its advantages and make up for shortcomings, and make plans for this year's work to make efforts to develop advantageous industries, including automobile and advanced equipment manufacturing in Yanglin Economic Development Zone. Songming should also focus on the investment attraction and project construction of Songming Vocational Education New Town to promote the high-quality development of this area and continue to expand the agricultural industry, especially to speed up the development the key enterprises and projects of green products and flowers to build the agricultural brand of Songming. In addition to traditional industries, Songming needs to open up "new tracks" leading future development and ensure the steady growth of emerging industries, such as photovoltaics and hydrogen energy.

Zhao noted that Songming County has ample space for future industrial development with a solid foundation. It is necessary to boost the morale of officials further, and gather the strength of unity in working together, to accomplish every task will full force in order to inject vitality into the economy to propel the stable development of the economy according to work scheduled by the CPC Kunming Municipal Committee, Kunming Municipal People's Government,

Zhao said that Songming County should create a favorable business environment, strive to introduce large projects to settle in Songming, and coordinate and serve the enterprises well to ensure projects could be finished on time. Songming County is also required to promote enterprises to increase investment to yield some achievements in the first quarter and the next quarters to contribute to the development of Kunming City and Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area.

At the meeting, the General Management Department, Investment Promotion Bureau and Economic Development Bureau of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area brought some suggestions for this year's economic development of Songming County. Songming County Government also made some statements. (Editors: Ines, Lexi)
