Recently, it is reported that Zhongguancun BEZ (Kunming) Digital Economy Technology Industrial Park plans to open at the end of this month, which has introduced a number of companies in the digital economy and technical services industries.

Zhongguancun Electronics Zone (Kunming) Technology Industrial Park, located in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, is a high-tech platform co-created by Kunming City, the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, the Management Committee of Zhongguancun Electronics Zone and Beijing Electronic Zone High-tech Group. The platform integrates development, construction, investment promotion, operation and management. Zhongguancun BEZ (Kunming) Digital Economy Technology Industrial Park seized the opportunity of building a 100-billion-level electronic information industry in Yunnan Province and developing a digital economy industry in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area with the introduction of key areas such as the industrial network, intelligent manufacturing, smart city, internet of things, network and digital security, electronic information to create a digital economy technology industrial park.

Zhongguancun BEZ (Kunming) Digital Economy Technology Industrial Park has a gross floor area of around 178,000 square meters with 24 buildings planned to construct, including large, medium, and small-sized plants, R&D office plant with supporting canteens and dormitories to meet different requirements of production and operation for the enterprise. 

In 2022, a plan to push for the development of the digital economy industry in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period is issued. It aims to promote “industrial digitalization, digital industrialization, resource digitalization” and the comprehensive digitalization transformation of the economy and society so as to build Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area into a new “highland” for digital industrialization in Yunnan Province, a demonstration zone for industrial digitalization transformation in South Asia and Southeast Asia and digital governance pilot zone in Yunnan province.

Zhongguancun BEZ (Kunming) Digital Economy Technology Industrial Park, as the main force in the development of the digital economy industry in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, will focus on New Area, expand the industry and optimize the main business. Meanwhile, the industrial Park will actively give full play to the service advantage of Beijing Electronic Zone High-tech Group and comprehensively do a good job in serving the enterprises in the Park to help promote the high-quality development of enterprises in order to propel the growth of the digital economy industry in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area.

At present, Zhongguancun BEZ (Kunming) Digital Economy Technology Industrial Park has paid attention to the digital economy industry during the investment attraction and has introduced new energy, digital economy, and technical services and other industrial chains and several cross-field companies. In the future, the industrial Park will use the construction of “digital Yunnan” as an opportunity and incorporate the overall positioning of the construction of an intelligent industrial Park so as to further help the informatization work in economic development and industry upgrading. Lead by the new generation information technology, speed up the creation of local digital economy in terms of new basis, new ecology, and new pattern, expand the application of “smart industrial park”, deepen the integration of industry and promote the upgrade of industrial Park to facilitate the high-quality development of digital economy industry in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area.
