Yunnan mountains are abundant with a diverse range of mushrooms, such as russula griseocarnosa and collybia albuminosa. A few days ago, Yang Yulan, a resident of Xinhua Community, Tianyuan Town, Changning County, Baoshan City, purchased a wild yellow collybia albuminosa with its cap resembling an umbrella at a local mushroom trading market.

Yellow collybia albuminosa is an edible fungus and is comparably bigger than black collybia albuminosa or white collybia albuminosa. After measurement, the fresh yellow collybia albuminosa weighs 1.4kg, the diameter of its rod is 7.4 centimeters, and that of its cap is 38 centimeters. According to the local market price, this collybia albuminosa is worth 200 yuan. “At Changning, it is quite common to collect collybia albuminosa, but the one with the big size is very rare,” said Yang Yulan, a Dalizhai villager of Xinhua Community, Tianyuan Town.

Collybia albuminosa, one of the culinary delicacies among edible fungi, is hailed as the “king of fungi.” In recent years, Changning County has attached great importance to building ecological civilization. The sound natural environment has promoted the sustainable development of the wild mushroom industry and embarked on a prosperous road through “ecological improvement and increased revenue.” (Editors: Ines, Lexi)
