On September 3rd, 2023, China Industrial Transfer and Development Matchmaking Activities (Yunnan) was held in Kunming. Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area participated in the event and conducted promotional activities. During the event, Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Dawning Information Industry Co., Ltd.

Based on Yunnan Province's comparative advantages and industrial foundation in intelligent terminal manufacturing, electronic materials, featured digital creativity, and other fields, this event aimed to target areas such as intelligent terminal manufacturing, data services, and AI voice and undertake the transfer of manufacturing industries in the central and eastern regions of China. This event will help build Yunnan into a transfer area for the information industry to South Asia and Southeast Asia, a computing hub construction model area, and a characteristic digital empowerment demonstration to South Asia and Southeast Asia. Around 200 outstanding companies in the information industrial sector were invited to participate in this event.

Bao Xu, a member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, said during the industrial promotion, Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area has distinctive location advantages, complete production factors, and prominent policy advantages, modern industrial clusters, and sustained economic development. With the completion of projects such as Zhongguancun Electronics Zone, BOE's OLED Microdisplay, Vital New Material Technological Park, Aplus Labs, Xingshengfeng Intelligence Terminal, the electronic information industry in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area is undergoing accelerated transformation and precision manufacturing industrial chains are gradually expanding. In 2023, the output value of the electronic information industry in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area is projected to reach 3 billion yuan, and the goal is to achieve 10 billion yuan by 2025.
