On July 14th, the 2nd Kindergarten in Kaiyuan City, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, held a traditional “First Writing Ceremony” featuring putting cinnabars on the foreheads of children, drumming to express one’s aspiration, and writing over red-painted characters. The ceremony aims to let children who are about to enter primary school experience the Chinese traditional culture as a meaningful starting point for their future learning journey.
