On June 12th, Yang Dongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area met with Yang Ruikai, Senior Vice President of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Huawei), and his delegation. Both sides exchanged views on deepening the practical cooperation, actively serving and participating in the national development strategy around the digital economy, smart industrial parks, smart cities, and other fields.

Yang Dongwei stated that Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area closely adheres to the strategic positioning of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area given by the central government and the requirement set by the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Yunnan Province for Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area to deepening reform and innovation and accelerating the high-quality development. Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area will also actively serve and integrate into the national development strategy and focus on promoting industrial development, infrastructure construction, supporting services, quality improvement, and deep integration and aggregation of resources. Yang Dongwei noted that Huawei is a self-reliant Chinese enterprise. It is hoped that Huawei takes Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area as a key area of its strategic layout, enriches application scenarios, and deeply takes part in the digital economic development and urbanization construction to comprehensively boost the growth of industrial chains of the digital economy and innovation chains of the upper stream and lower stream companies in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area so as to realize mutual benefits in facilitating Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area's high-quality development of the digital economy.

Yang Ruikai said that Huawei will give full play of its advantages and conduct practical cooperation around smart cities, digital transformation of government services, smart industrial parks, and other areas based on the development positioning of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area in order to help increase the digitalization of economic and social development in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area.
