On June 26th, Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area held a meeting on the high-quality development of electric power and laid out plans for promoting power supply in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area in accordance with economic and social development. The meeting stressed that according to the requirements of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, the People's Government of Yunnan Province, the CPC Kunming Municipal Committee, and the Kunming Municipal People's Government, Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area should vigorously implement a three-year action plan for high-quality development of electric power, and seize every minute to shore up weak links in a bid to contribute to the high-quality development of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area.

Yang Dongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area attended the meeting and made a speech.

It is noted in the meeting that the demand for electric power has shifted from "access to electricity" in the past to "using electricity well" now in modern society. The reliability and convenience of power supply are directly linked to the business environment and happiness index. Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area at all levels should raise awareness of the importance of high-quality development of electric power, implement national, provincial, and municipal energy security strategies, and work at full stretch to ensure power supply so as to prop up the social and economical high-quality development of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area. 

It is stressed in the meeting that all departments of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area at all levels should concentrate on the work plans and requirements in both thinking and action, actively support the power sector to tackle the conflicts and problems, and create a good environment for power construction in order to promote high-quality development of electric power in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area. It is necessary to carry out the power grid construction as the "projects for the public good" and enhance the ability to guarantee the power supply with key project construction. It is imperative to improve the foresight and scientific rigor of power planning, ensure project approval for power grid projects, and plan ahead of the power planning construction of the directly-administered area of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area. Illegal and non-compliant behavior should be strictly investigated and punished to jointly ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid. It is necessary to gain more support from Kunming Power Supply Bureau for the directly-administered area of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, ensure the electricity usage of households and industries for enterprises and people as a priority and continuously enhance the satisfaction of enterprises and residents for electricity. 

Bao Xu and Duan Hongbo, the members of the Party Working Committee and the Deputy Directors of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, and Lu Guojun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Kunming Power Supply Bureau, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Kunming Power Supply Bureau. (Editors: Ines, Christine)
