As the Year of the Horse approaches, the festive atmosphere in Dian Zhong New Area is getting stronger. The New Year goods market at Caohe Park has been bustling with activity since February 2nd. On February 6th, with the official launch of the "Vibrant Dian Zhong • Galloping Spring" New Year Goods Festival themed activities, the attendance surged once again. Rich and colorful content, including intangible cultural heritage experiences and cultural performances, pushed the festive atmosphere to a new high.

At the market, steaming hot goat soup from Dongchuan's Jiaozi Snow Mountain, sour and spicy Dali liangfen topped with crispy rice crust, and freshly baked Guandu baba cakes with generous sweet and savory fillings were just a few of the local delicacies on offer. In addition, a dazzling array of New Year goods was available, including sweet Papagan (Citrus reticulata "Chun Jian"), freshly picked blueberries and other seasonal fruits, various cured meats, nuts, zodiac-themed ornaments, and Spring Festival couplets and "Fu" characters.

At the event, many nearby residents were seen arriving with bamboo baskets on their backs, shopping for New Year goods, tasting snacks, watching performances, and immersing themselves in the various activities.

In the intangible cultural heritage public experience area, teachers from Xichong Kindergarten patiently guided children who eagerly participated in activities like making Chinese knots, tie-dyeing handkerchiefs, molding dough figurines, painting opera masks, and creating seed art. One parent accompanying their child remarked, "This is such a fun way to celebrate the New Year. The kids love it, and we're happy too."

The stall offering calligraphy for Spring Festival couplets and "Fu" characters also attracted many participants. Calligraphy enthusiasts from the New Area wielded their brushes with gusto, presenting residents with couplets brimming with blessings. Each piece radiated joy under the sunlight.

In the afternoon, amidst melodious music, a vibrant mass cultural performance presented by performance troupes from various communities kicked off. The Samei singers from the Tiger Band, dressed in embroidered ethnic costumes, ignited the audience's passion with their rustic and resonant songs. Dance and Huadeng opera programs were full of a strong sense of local life and local characteristics. These performances created and staged by local residents drew rounds of applause and cheers from the audience, with constant laughter and joy surrounding the stage. Meanwhile, stalls offering hot drinks, snacks, and festive desserts provided warm resting spots for tired shoppers – a steaming hot snack representing a simple but heartwarming pleasure.
