"Three bunches, please." At a flower stall in the departure area G of Kunming Changshui International Airport, roses on promotion was chosen by a tourist from Suzhou. Recently, journalist observed that many travelers stopped by the flowers zone before boarding, purchasing a bouquet to add a touch of memory to their journey—reminders of the "Spring City." Roses, praised for their affordable price and auspicious symbolism, are particularly popular.
The flowers are priced at 99 yuan for three bunches, drawing numerous travelers who pause to browse and select. In addition to fresh blooms, everlasting flowers which are easier to carry and with an extended shelf life—are especially favored by visitors from outside Yunnan. The flower zone at the airport not only offers tourists a convenient shopping option but also serves as a vivid view showcasing Kunming’s reputation as the "City of Flowers."
