Yanjiazhuang Featured Homestays.

Recently, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released the "Yunnan Province Rural Sojourning Village Case Collection." Three villages in Kunming City were selected: Dongcun Community, Songyang Subdistric, Songming County; Guolian Village, Xihua Community, Biji Subdistric, Xishan District; and Yanjiazhuang Village, Huaqing Community, Changshui Subdistric, Dian Zhong New Area. These selected villages fully showcase the characteristics of Kunming's rural sojourning with the theme "mountains and rivers as scrolls, ancient charm reborn."

Among them, Yanjiazhuang Village is located southeast of Huaqing Community, Changshui Subdistrict, Dian Zhong New Area, only a 15-minute drive from Kunming Changshui International Airport and an hour's drive to Kunming city center. The village covers a total area of over 7,400 mu, including more than 1,000 mu of arable land and over 6,000 mu of forest. Yanjiazhuang is surrounded by Duimen Mountain, Shazipo Mountain, Tuan Mountain, Huangli Mountain, and Xiong Cave Mountain, traditionally known as "Wu Ma Gui Cao" (Five Horses Returning to the Trough). The village leverages its geographical and resource advantages to develop "homestays + ecological agriculture" and "homestays + diversified industries," relying on its traditional village characteristics and farming culture to cultivate new forms of sojourning experiences.

Currently, the village has 16 distinctive homestays such as "Jian Nan Shan" (See South Mountain), "Bujian Jihua" (Not Seen Yet Blooming), and "Chunjian" (Spring Stream), as well as 5 restaurants including the "Qing Tang" (Green Courtyard) brand. This has formed a new rural sojourning hub led by the homestay industry, becoming a vital stop for tourists. (Dian Zhong New Area News, Reporter Ma Fengcui)
