Leaders of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area led a delegation to Japan and South Korea for investment promotion

From October 13 to 20, 2024, Yang Dongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, led a delegation to South Korea and Japan to carry out activities for investment attraction and economic trade activities.

During the visit, the delegation held two "Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area Investment Promotion Events" in Seoul, South Korea, and Tokyo, Japan, to promote the infrastructure, investment environment, policy support, and industrial focus of Yunnan Province, Kunming City, and Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area. They engaged in "zero-distance" communication and "face-to-face" discussions with South Korean and Japanese entrepreneurs. Over 70 companies from South Korea and more than 50 Japanese companies, trade associations, and institutions attended the events. The Dianzhong Science City Management Bureau and the Advanced Manufacturing Development Bureau of Airport Manufacturing reached cooperation intentions with South Korea's Ruri Corporation and Japan's Fukuoka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., respectively, and signed cooperation agreements.

While in South Korea, the delegation visited various organizations, including the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, the Korea-China Civil Economic Cooperation Forum, the Korea-China Federation, the Busan Chamber of Commerce, and the Busan branch of the Korea Trade Association. They engaged in in-depth discussions about trade information exchange, mutual recommendations for cross-border investments, and the establishment of an overseas project database. Preliminary consensus was reached on cooperation in fields such as air freight.

During their stay in Japan, the delegation visited the Japan-China Investment Promotion Agency, Fukuoka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Kyocera Corporation, the Japan-China Friendship Association in Kyoto, the Osaka Chamber of Commerce, and the Osaka Center for Environmental Industry Promotion. They held in-depth exchanges on economic and trade relations and foreign investment cooperation. Both sides expressed their intention to use this visit as an opportunity to explore more projects, broaden markets, and work together for mutual benefit, thus injecting new energy into the deepening economic and trade cooperation between China and Japan.

Next, Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area will focus on its industrial positioning and development goals, continue to strengthen communication and coordination with South Korean and Japanese enterprises and deepen cooperation in key industrial sectors such as biomedicine, electronic information, new materials, aviation, chemicals, and machinery. Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area aims to attract more quality projects by creating a first-class business environment characterized by marketization, rule of law, and international standards, striving to become a favored innovation hub and investment hotspot for South Korean and Japanese enterprises.
