On July 25th, as the 2024 Yi Torch Festival approached, villagers from Baoshan Village in Hutiaoxia Town, Shangri-La City, including those from Yi, Lisu, Tibetan, Bai, and Han ethnic groups, gathered in their festive attire to sing and dance in celebration of the Torch Festival.

The Torch Festival is one of the most important traditional festivals for the Yi people. Early in the morning, villagers prepared their torches and gathered at the basketball court of the village committee. During this traditional ceremony, they lit their torches, collectively prayed for national peace, prosperity, and bountiful harvests.

Subsequently, performances such as speeches and dances, performed by villagers of all ages from various groups and the supporting units, showcased the increasingly positive living conditions and spirit of the Baoshan Village community in recent years.
