On April 22nd, Yang Dongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, and Zhao Jiayun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Yunnan Aviation Industry Investment Group, led a research team to the Kunming Changshui International Airport's extension and renovation project and inspected the safety production work.

The research team went to 6 construction sites, including Lichang Road, Huaqing Village, and Laoba Mountain, and conducted an on-site inspection of road traffic, engineering construction, dust prevention and control, forest fire prevention, and flood and disaster prevention, focusing on further improving safety production work and on-site research to solve problems.

Yang underscored that Kunming Changshui International Airport's extension and renovation project is a key project to building Yunnan as a center radiating to South Asia and Southeast Asia. Efforts should be focused on relocation and resettlement, pipeline relocation, and supporting project construction, completing the established tasks without compromise. It is necessary to firmly establish the concept of safe development, strictly implement the safety production responsibility system, and comprehensively strengthen construction safety and operation safety supervision. The focus should also be put on key areas to further identify weaknesses, fulfill work responsibilities, and advance the critical battle to ensure production safety.

Yang emphasized the need for all units in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area to strengthen leadership and organization. The focus should be forest fire prevention, geological disasters, engineering construction, transportation, and other key areas. It is crucial to organize inspections and rectification of safety hazards in construction areas, as well as to prevent and resolve various risks promptly. In addition, it is necessary to carry out in-depth publicity on production safety, training, and emergency drills to further shore up the weak links of safety facilities and to form a joint force for safety guarantee.
