On February 23rd, the Natural Resources and Planning Bureau of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, together with the Kunming Municipal Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, Airport Advanced Manufacturing Development Bureau of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, Da Banqiao Sub-district, Xiaoshao Sub-district, Kunming Airport Investment and Development Group Co.,Ltd., and other units formed a research team. The research team came to several ecological restoration sites of abandoned mines under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area and conducted on-site research on the ecological restoration project work.

The research team noted that ecological restoration must adhere to principles of respecting nature, complying with nature, and protecting nature, and should adopt measures in line with natural laws according to local conditions and relevant policies based on mineral resources. As for geological safety hazards, artificial measures should be taken to eliminate the hazards before implementing ecological restoration.  Restoration work should focus on removing hidden dangers of geological disasters, preventing soil erosion, and restoring vegetation, and should involve a coordinated use of models such as natural restoration, assisted regeneration, ecological reconstruction, transformational utilization. The research team also studied specific engineering measures, implementation schemes, funding guarantees, coordination, and other issues. 

Next, the Natural Resources and Planning Bureau of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area will continue to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization, act on the idea that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, and effectively carry out the ecological restoration work of abandoned mines in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area.
