In order to speed up the construction of the Future Transportation Innovation Institute Project, on January 29th, the main people in charge of the Administration Bureau of Yunnan Dian Zhong Science City, along with the Natural Resources and Planning Bureau and Urban Construction and Management Bureau in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area led a team to Kunming University of Science and Technology for a symposium. Pan Xuejun, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice Chancellor of Kunming University of Science and Technology, also attended the symposium.

During the symposium, both sides exchanged views on the construction planning, communication in the preliminary phase, and the work plan in the next step of the Future Transportation Innovation Institute Project.

Pan said the construction of the Future Transportation Science City of Yunnan in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area is a practice to implement the spirit of the important speech of Xi Jinping, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made during his inspection tour in Yunnan. Based on the Future Transportation Science City of Yunnan,  Kunming University of Science and Technology will join hands with other scientific research institutions, colleges, and universities and integrate resources to cooperate with Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area. All parties jointly foster new technologies, new products, and new business models in the field of smart transportation in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, create a new calling card of smart transportation industrial development so as to facilitate the building of the Future Transportation Science City of Yunnan in high standard and make contributions to help strengthen China's Transportation.

Heads of all departments of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area expressed that it is imperative to enhance the sense of responsibility and urgency, take the initiative, and make efforts to complete every task of the construction of the Future Transportation Science City of Yunnan in full capacity, in a bid to ensure the project construction to achieve breakthroughs and substantial results as soon as possible.
