On January 19th and 20th, the Fuzhou New Area Delegation visited Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area for an inspection. On the afternoon of January 20th, they held a symposium for exchanges and discussed cooperation for joint development.

Liu Hongjian, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, Secretary of the CPC Kunming Municipal Committee, and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, and Chen Yunshui, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Fuzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Fuzhou New Area, attended the symposium and delivered a speech.

Liu welcomed the Fuzhou New Area delegation. Liu highlighted that currently, with the operation of the China-Laos Railway, the construction of International Land-Sea Corridor facing Indian Ocean, Kunming taking over Mohan to jointly build an international port city, the establishment of Mohan-Boten Economic Cooperation Zone, and undertaking the industrial transfer from the Eastern and Central China, there are more prominent advantages such as geological location and opening-up of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area and broader potential and space in the development. Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area and Fuzhou New Area are brother areas. Since signing the strategic cooperation agreement, the two friendly areas have engaged in frequent communications and exchanges, resulting in positive outcomes. It is hoped that both sides continue to give full play of their advantages, further strengthen communications and cooperation, learn from each other, and establish complete work mechanisms such as regular communications, collaborations, information sharing, and friendly visits. The two sides aim to deepen the pragmatic cooperation in areas such as industrial transfer and the establishment of an Industrial Park for Taiwan Businesses to complement each other and work together to promote high-quality development and create a new paradigm of win-win cooperation, making new contributions to serving China's development strategy.

Chen stated that through this visit, he sincerely felt the development momentum and the glamour of Kunming City and Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, whose reform and innovation, planning construction, industrial development, and advantages and potential left a deep impression on the delegation. There are many good experience and practices that Fuzhou New Area could learn from. The two areas have distinctive characteristics and strengths with enormous potential for cooperation. It is hoped that based on the previous good collaboration, both areas further explore the cooperative fields, build comprehensive and intensive cooperation mechanisms, carry out more practical, operational, and effective cooperation, jointly implementing the strategic cooperation agreement in detail and promoting the two areas yield more fruitful results from the collaboration.

During their visit to Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, the Fuzhou New Area delegation visited the lithium battery cathode materials project of Yunnan Shanshan, Southwest Copper Industry's newly built projects, Petrochina Yunnan Petrochemical Company's projects, and Health Guard (Kunming) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. for inspections.
