On December 4th, Yang Dongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, led a team to visit Shanghai-Yunnan Lingang-Kunming Science and Technology City for study and research. Liang Kun, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Kunming Economic and Technology Development Zone (Kunming Area of China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone) and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of China-Laos Mohan-Boten Economic Cooperation Zone accompanied the delegation during the visit and introduced the projection's construction.

The delegation viewed display boards and videos at the Shanghai-Yunnan Lingang-Kunming Science and Technology City exhibition center, visited various places, and received detailed explanations on its positioning, planning, and construction. They also gained a deeper understanding that Shanghai-Yunnan Lingang-Kunming Science and Technology City aims to facilitate linkage and cooperation between the connection of Shanghai, Kunming, and Mohan, undertake the industrial transfer of the eastern regions, deepen Shanghai-Yunnan cooperation, seize the opportunity presented by the China-Laos Railway, and integrate into the Belt and Road Initiative.

During the summary meeting, Yang briefed on the activities commemorating the second anniversary of the operation of the China-Laos Railway and the opening ceremony of Shanghai-Yunnan Lingang-Kunming Science and Technology City and conveyed the work requirements set forth by leaders of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Yunnan Province and leaders of the CPC Kunming Municipal Committee. He emphasized that the purpose of this visit was to learn from the successful model, identify gaps, stimulate thinking, and continuously enhance and improve relevant work so as to promote high-quality development in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area.

Yang stressed that relevant departments of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area should study the reform and innovative measures implemented by Kunming Economic and Technology Development Zone in investment promotion, conduct research on advanced practices of Shanghai-Yunnan Lingang-Kunming Science and Technology City in terms of development concepts, brand building, environment optimization, operation management, and functional enhancement. These departments should also proactively address industrial layout, function division, business support, public services, and logistical support in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area parks' operations. By demonstrating initiative and producing tangible results, they should attract more high-quality enterprises and talents to settle in the park, presenting a new and vibrant image for the upcoming year.
