On October 10th, Yang Dongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, led a team to visit the Airport Area of Kunming Free Trade Zone for inspection. They held a meeting with the Management Committee of Kunming Free Trade Zone and exchanged views on jointly promoting the high-quality development of the Airport Area and Kunming Free Trade Zone.

Yang and his team conducted an on-site inspection of the "1210" bonded warehouse and the operation of the international standard gold processing project of Kunming Free Trade Zone, as well as key projects such as Kunming Mengsheng Logistics Park and Zhongxiang Flight Training (Yunnan) Co., Ltd. They also heeded reports on the organizational structure and construction and development of the Kunming Free Trade Zone.

Yang said the joint development between Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area and Kunming Free Trade Zone can achieve policy integration and complementary advantages, which is conducive to efficient and intensive management of both areas. By leveraging the resources and exploring the potential advantages of both sides, they can collaborate to build an interconnected and complementary industrial system, enhancing the vitality of economic development, capacity of factor aggregation, and potential for opening up. It is hoped that the Airport Area and Kunming Free Trade Zone jointly plan and vigorously develop the port economy, expand the cross-border multimodal transportation of "road, rail and air", establish a development model of "port+bonded zone+airport," fully integrate the resources of the comprehensive bonded zone, airport, and China-Laos Railway, create a regional international digital e-commerce center, and promote high-quality development of foreign trade in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area. 

Yang Zhiwu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Kunming Free Trade Zone, said that they will combine their development realities and industrial priorities, leverage the development of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, jointly optimize and improve the business environment, collaborate to build a manufacturing and processing center, sales and service center, logistics distribution center, testing and maintenance center, R&D design center, promoting economic and social development in Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area.
