On April 6, Bao Xu, a member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, held a meeting with Lei Jilin, Dean of the School of Transportation Engineering of Kunming University of Science and Technology. Both sides exchanged views on accelerating the strategic planning of Dian Zhong Future Transportation and Science City.

At the meeting, the person in charge of the Administration Bureau of Dian Zhong Science City gave a detailed introduction to Dian Zhong Science City. Lei also made suggestions on the planning and construction of Dian Zhong Future Transportation and Science City.

Bao said that with China-Laos Railway beginning operation, RCEP taking effect, Kunming Changshui International Airport accelerating the reconstruction and expansion, and Mohan International port city speeding up the construction, Dian Zhong Science City ushers in a pivotal period of development. The core of the high-quality development of Dian Zhong Science City will be how to solve future transport science and how to realize the integration of other related industries. Departments at all levels should focus on the industrial development and industry-city integration of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, find the position and direction of development, straighten out industrial chains and value chains in the future transportation field to promote the realization of integrated, intelligent and digital development of future Dian Zhong Future Transportation and Science City and other parts of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area. It is hoped that the School of Transportation Engineering of Kunming University of Science and Technology strengthens the communication and cooperation with Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area to provide "intellectual support" for the planning and construction of Dian Zhong Future Transportation and Science City.

Lei said that the School of Transportation Engineering of Kunming University of Science and Technology is optimistic about the prospects of Dian Zhong Future Transportation and Science City.
