Recently, Zhao Xuefeng, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee, the Deputy Director of Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area, and the head of Kunming's high-end equipment and automobile manufacturing industrial chain, led a team to visit Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as BAIC Group) and held a meeting. Jiang Deyi, the Chairman of BAIC Group, and Chen Wei, the Chairman of BAIC Motor Corporation., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as BAIC Motor), both expressed that they will have firm confidence and make all-out efforts to push forward the development of the BAIC Kunming production base.

Zhao said it is hoped that the BAIC Kunming production base will increase its production capacity in order to reach full-capacity production and expand production. At the same time, BAIC Group and BAIC Motor will coordinate and guarantee the provision of power batteries, chips, and other materials to ensure the BAIC Kunming production base is able to complete this year's production tasks and help the BAIC Kunming production base formulate reasonable follow-up production targets. It is expected that the four major stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly processes will be in full production as soon as possible. Plan ahead, and do an excellent job in guaranteeing production materials during the "14th Five Year Plan" period for the BAIC Kunming production base to support BAIC Kunming Branch to grow bigger and stronger in Yunnan. Meanwhile, it is necessary for BAIC Group and BAIC Motor to increase R&D efforts and strengthen the analysis and research of applicable models in Southwest China, South Asia, and Southeast Asia, and introduce marketable new energy models to the Kunming branch guided by consumer demand so as to achieve mass production. In addition, it is also hoped that BAIC Group and BAIC Motor will make use of their advantageous resources in the field of automobile manufacturing to recommend auto parts companies to settle in Kunming and Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area to promote the comprehensive development of Kunming's automobile manufacturing industry chain.
